Let's get to know a little more about Luxury Vinyl Plank better known as LVP. Everyone pretty much knows that it is durable, easy to clean and is less costly than authentic hardwood flooring. But HOW, WHY and what in the hell is it made of?
LVP is a replication of natural wood species, stone, marble in tiles or planks. The imagery is so realistic and the savings are incredible.This is why this product has made the flooring industry boom. This product will come textured to the touch and some have beveled ends to catch the debris leaving your floor cleaner. I can only tell you about how EMPIRE TODAY LVP is constructed as I use their product in my business.
It is composed of 6 or 7 layers depending on the type choosing.
A floor interlocking system to make product airtight once connected which adds to durability.
LVP is 4.2 MM thick, 48" in length and 7" wide plank. Some LVP comes thinner

Let's work from  the bottom Layer up:
1.Water resistant Backer makes product water resistant and helps products survive floods and water mishaps
